ZELDA NOTES is a service that is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to use the Nintendo Switch app or ZELDA NOTES.

A helpful voice

Navigation

A voice that helps you find Koroks and shrines

With the help of this friendly voice, you can be guided in real time across the map to find Koroks and hard-to-reach shrines.

Track your progress

You can check the achievement rate for each element, such as clearing shrines and discovering Koroks. Now you can use Navigation and aim for a 100% achievement rate!

Character commentary

Voice Memories

Hear the memories of certain characters

When you visit certain locations in the game, you can listen to commentary about your surroundings from Zelda and some other characters. Even if you've been to those parts of Hyrule before, you might want to revisit to hear what they have to say!

Share your creations with other players

Autobuild Sharing

Send to ZELDA NOTES

Send a design you've made with Ultrahand to ZELDA NOTES, and it will be converted to a QR code that you can share with other players on social media. (Only available in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.)

Note: when sharing a QR code with another user, certain information, such as your name, will be visible to the recipient of the QR code.

Receiving designs

Scan a QR code with your smart device, and ZELDA NOTES can import it to your game as a design. Use this feature to recreate other players' creations. (Only available in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.)

Item Sharing

Scan QR codes

Scan a QR code with a compatible smart device to access a shared item box via ZELDA NOTES.

Note: Some items from the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game will be converted to other items when received in the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game. This feature is only available with the Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of the games.

Memories of your adventures

Photo Studio

Send your in-game photos to ZELDA NOTES to decorate them with frames, stamps, and more. You can attach these photos to your item and design QR codes.

Get more out of your amiibo! 

In the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom games, you can use compatible amiibo figures (sold separately) from the Legend of Zelda series to obtain in-game items once per day. With ZELDA NOTES, after you scan a compatible amiibo figure five times, you will be rewarded with a bonus use of that figure that day.
