How to Link or Unlink Nintendo Switch 2 and the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls App
Follow these steps to link or unlink a Nintendo Switch 2 console and the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls smart device application.
Note: The Nintendo Switch Parental Controls App can be linked to up to eight Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch consoles.
Linking a Nintendo Account to the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app allows parents to manage and monitor Nintendo Switch 2 usage through a smart device.
Before you start
A Nintendo Account (belonging to a user aged 18+) is required to use the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app. The same Nintendo Account can be used to sign into the app on multiple smart devices.
An Internet connection is required to link the console and the app. Data charges may apply.

Link Nintendo Switch 2 to Nintendo Switch Parental Controls App
Download the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app on your iOS or Android device.
How to download the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app
On your smart device, open the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app and select Start on the title screen.
Review the overview information and select Next.
Decide whether you'd like to send usage data for the app, then select either Send Data or Don't Send.
Tap Sign In / Create Account. The application will launch http://accounts.nintendo.com in the device Internet browser.
Sign in to your existing Nintendo Account or create a new one.
Your Nintendo Account nickname will appear on the screen. Tap Select this account to confirm.
You will be returned to the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls application. Select Next.
A Link Code will appear on the screen of your smart device.
On the Nintendo Switch 2 console, select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
Scroll down to highlight Parental Controls.
Select Set Up Parental Controls , then App Has Been Installed.
"Change Settings" appears instead of "Set Up Parental Controls"
Enter the six-digit Link Code from your smart device. Select OK.
Select Link to link the Nintendo Switch 2 to your smart device, then select OK on both the console and your smart device.
Once the link is complete, you can use the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app to set parental controls restrictions.

Unlink Nintendo Switch 2 from Nintendo Switch Parental Controls App
Important
Parental Control restrictions on the system will be removed when the app is unlinked. If you still want to restrict certain features, you will need to set the restrictions again after the app has been removed.
Unlinking the app will not affect Nintendo eShop restrictions that have been set up through a Nintendo Account.
To unlink using a smart device:
Open the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app on your iOS or Android device.
Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
A list will appear of all linked consoles. Locate the console that you want to remove, and tap the three dots icon next to it.
Tap Unlink.
Read through the information on the screen, then tap Continue.
The app will no longer be linked to this console.
To unlink using a Nintendo Switch 2 console:
On the Nintendo Switch 2 console, select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
Scroll down to highlight Parental Controls, then select Unlink App.
If this option doesn't appear, your system is not linked to the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app.
Enter the Parental Control PIN.
Forgot your PIN?
Select Unlink.
Select OK to return to the System Settings.
