How to Enable/Disable Automatic Save-Data Backups and Downloads on Nintendo Switch 2

Follow these steps to turn on or off the automatic save-data backup and automatic save-data download features on Nintendo Switch 2.

Note

• A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to utilise the Save Data Cloud service.

• Save data backups for Nintendo Switch software can be shared between Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch consoles using the same Nintendo Account. If you own the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of a Nintendo Switch game, any Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive features or content would not be made accessible on Nintendo Switch.

Automatic Save-Data Backup

By default, the automatic save-data backup will be enabled from the time you start your Nintendo Switch Online membership.

1. From the HOME Menu, select System Settings, then Data Management and finally Save Data Cloud.

2. Select the desired user, then select Settings.

3. Select Automatic Save-Data Backup to turn this feature on or off.

Automatic Save-Data Download

Automatic save-data download must be enabled on each Nintendo Switch console you wish to use.

1. From the HOME Menu, select System Settings, then Data Management and finally Save Data Cloud.

2. Select the desired user, then select

   Settings.

3. Select Automatic Save-Data Download to turn this feature on or off.
